Hello,
I’m Ashley Manning, a 23 year old writer. I write for a young adult audience, but aim for adults to enjoy my book as well. I write fantasy and horror stories.
I read a lot. Anything that I can get my hands on. Children and Victorian books are my favorite, especially with a Gothic twist. I appreciate any suggestions you might have.
The aim is to make at least one post a week, mostly on a Tuesday. These will be about anything, from book reviews, my own writing and things that I’ve been thinking about.
If you have a book that you would like to be reviewed then send me an email via the contact me page. I would be happy to do it, as long as I have the time.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Ashley.
A novel’s an ambitious undertaking. Good with your writing!
Thank you, and good luck with yours.
Well bud, I look forward to reading more about your novel!
Thank you. Yours is looking good as well!
Thank you for the like! Good luck with your writing π
Thanks. You too. And I look forward to reading The Lost Heir.
I nominated you for the Liebster Award! Check it out! http://andioconnor.com/2013/01/31/liebster-award/
Seems like you could drift into Steampunk quite easily. Keep up the writing !
Best of luck,
Luke
Thanks. The third book in my series will be edging into Steampunk so thanks. I liked your opening lines. Look forward to reading more. Thanks.
π
Hey! I am also nineteen and will be doing a similar course to you in september! I love your posts, could I nominate you for the Liebster award? If its okay, my post is already up, so take a look π
Hey. Thanks for the compliment. Of course you can nominate me. Thanks. Good luck with the course and enjoy it. π
Thank you! And no worries π
Iβve nominated you for the Versatile Blogger award. You can check out the details here:

I would really suggest The Mortal Instruments and the House of Night series. House of Night is about vampires and has more of a creepy storyline, Mortal Instruments writes about demons, shadow hunters, and etc.
Thank you. I recently bought the first book in The Mortal Instruments series. I’ll move it up the pile. I’ll also look out for House of Night. Thanks.
Hi Ashley. Thanks for coming by. Keep up the writing . . . I can see that you love it! π
No problem, Thanks. π
Ooh…I love books that take place in the 19th century as well. I write young adult, and my writing constantly latches on to that century.
Thanks for the comment. I’ll be sure to check out your writing. π
Good luck with your debut novel. And enjoy your studies at Northampton; a few freinds of mine went there a few years ago.
Thank you! π
Thanks for stopping by wordifull.com and “liking” my words. Looking forward to reading yours:)
No problem. And thank you. π
Have you read Ann Radcliffe?
I have read The Mysteries of Udolpho and thought is was very good.
Hey, Ashley, the professor sends his greetings. Horror? Is it really scary? π
Hey Professor. I tend to write more dark fantasy, with elements of horror. Check out my short stories if you’re interested. Thanks.
That sounds really cool. I’ll take a look at the stories.
Thanks. I appreciate it.
Very cool π
Good choice of reading material, I like some of that stuff too. Anything with a good twist I love.
Thanks. π
Got to love a good twist.
