Busy.

It’s been a busy week. Lots of work. 1 Portfolio and 2 presentations. This time last week I had barely started any of them and now they’re all finished. Quite happy with the portfolio. Was a lot harder to write the biography on John Lennon that I’d previously thought. Originally I was going to write about Sylvia Plath, but then every week the teacher seemed to be referencing her and at one point said it would be difficult to write about her and make it sound original. I didn’t want to start from scratch so I chose someone I already knew a bit about. I got it done. That’s all I really care about.

The presentations went much better than expected. It got to a point when I just wanted them over and I didn’t think about them. The first one was fine, the second was a bit wobbly in places, but I don’t care now. As long as I’ve passed.

Sad news that My Chemical Romance broke up last Saturday. After a year of promising a new album and then releasing songs recorded a couple years back, I was expecting big things this year. Hopefully some good solo stuff, or some bad solo stuff and then a reunion. Which brings me to Fall Out Boy. The two singles from their comeback album sound good. Different to what they used to do, but that’s a good thing.

Got an essay to write for Friday. It’s about the language in the New York Trilogy and American Psycho. It sounds great. Out of the 10 questions given it’s the only one that I can think of one point for. And I can really only think of 2. It’s going to be a long haul. 2 essays, 1 portfolio and 2 exams to go. In less than a month it’ll be other. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing.
